Victoria's Fire Fighter Burn Fund

Summary
I led the design and development of this dynamic donation platform for burn survivors, drawing directly from my own experience with recovery and resilience. Built in Framer, the site includes pages for donations, survivor stories, and general education — all integrated into a responsive, mobile-friendly system. The structure is intentionally emotional but not overwhelming, with clear calls to action and authentic storytelling. From the typography to the color palette, everything was chosen to feel warm, sincere, and supportive.
Challenge
One of the biggest challenges was getting the header navigation to scale properly across both desktop and mobile. This project layout gave me trouble with sizing — especially when containers would stretch or collapse unpredictably on certain viewports. There was also the complexity of linking all the dynamic pages and ensuring consistency across the site. Because the site is content-rich and multi-layered, I had to troubleshoot broken links and visibility issues that came from connecting images, carousels, content, and static elements. Finally, the emotional weight of the project made it more personal — and more demanding. I wasn’t just building something functional — I was sharing a part of myself, and I wanted it to be right.
Solutions
Despite the hurdles, the final result is a clean, responsive site that works well across devices and feels emotionally honest. I resolved the sizing issues in the header by reworking the structure and testing repeatedly on mobile and desktop. The dynamic system is now smooth — allowing new stories or donations to be added without breaking the flow. Most importantly, I built something that resonates. It doesn’t feel corporate or sterile — it feels lived-in, like it comes from someone who’s been through it. That authenticity is what gives the project its real impact, and it’s something I’m proud to stand behind.

This donation website was created to support burn survivors — a cause incredibly close to home. As a burn survivor myself, this wasn’t just another design project; it was an emotional extension of my own journey. The site needed to feel human, trustworthy, and grounded in care — while also functioning smoothly across devices and hosting dynamic content. Built in Wix Studio, the project involved designing a flexible, multi-page experience where users could donate, read survivor stories, and learn how to help.
