Ripe Goodness Kefir Water

Summary
This project became a great example of how patience, collaboration, and design leadership can turn uncertainty into something truly polished. While the path wasn’t linear, the end result is a vibrant and character-rich label system that reflects the care and craftsmanship behind the product. Each flavor stands on its own with hand-drawn illustrations, playful gradients, and bold typography—all working together to tell a story of freshness, local pride, and small-batch integrity. What started as a rough idea came to life as a brand that feels confident, approachable, and ready for shelves.
Challenge
Creative direction was one of the main hurdles. The founder was unsure of her aesthetic preferences and often second-guessed design decisions, leading to delays and revisions. Additionally, remote Zoom meetings were difficult to manage due to the speech limitations of the secondary partner, requiring extra care in how I presented ideas, confirmed approvals, and navigated feedback loops. There was also no clear product positioning or existing brand elements to build from—everything had to be developed from the ground up.
Solutions
To create clarity, I developed multiple rounds of low-pressure visual concepts early on—helping the founder gain confidence in the emerging identity. I focused on a simple, natural tone grounded in handmade qualities: hand-illustrated fruit, artisanal fonts, and organic layout structure. To aid communication during Zoom meetings, I incorporated clear visual boards, written follow-ups, and annotated PDFs to ensure alignment. This methodical, empathetic approach led to a visual system the clients were proud to call their own—one that could grow with their brand.
